We at the Breastfeeding Center of Pittsburgh are devoted to providing high quality, comprehensive lactation support to mothers and infants through clinical excellence, effective education, quality research, policy reform, and political advocacy.

We are the only Center in the nation staffed by five pediatricians who are also Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs). Additional lactation consultants aid in the evaluation and management process under the direct supervision of our pediatricians.

We are available to see mothers and infants regardless of where they go for their routine pediatric care. We work with your PCP to ensure success, and then refer you back to your physician once any problems have been solved, you are nursing comfortably, and your baby is thriving.

Between our two offices, we are able to provide help seven days a week when needed. These visits are covered by almost all insurances.
