At The Breastfeeding Center of Pittsburgh, we're committed to working with you to ensure the health of your child.

Our pediatricians, who are board-certified in both pediatrics and lactation, and our lactation consultants work together to give you all the help and support you need. At every visit, a pediatrician will meet with you and your child, discuss any problems or concerns you may be having, and perform a thorough physical exam on your child.

Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) can work through a feeding with you, to answer your questions and to help you address problems with latching, positioning, or any other part of your breastfeeding experience. We'll work with you to help you succeed, to help you feel comfortable and confident in the process. And we're available to keep working with you in follow-up visits, for as long as you need to make sure you and your child are thriving. We can even send reports to your child's health care provider, to keep them up-to-date o your child's progress.

We're here to work with you on any issue related to your breastfeeding: general breastfeeding basics and assistance; latching difficulties; problems with low milk supply or engorgement; infections and plugged milk ducts; issues about supplementing, returning to work, or weaning; or any of the other countless things you might have questions about. We also offer a full line of quality Medela pumps for rent or sale, as well as other nursing accessories to help you make the best choice for your baby the right choice for both of you.
